Naomi Elementary School is helping families prepare for the upcoming school year by releasing its 2026-27 school supply lists for students in Pre-K through fifth grade. The school has also announced plans for its annual Open House on Monday, Aug. 3.
Open House will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will give students and parents an opportunity to meet teachers, tour classrooms, and prepare for the first day of school.
The school has provided grade-specific supply lists, with some variations based on classroom needs.
For Pre-K, all listed items are optional and include a water bottle, family photo, backpack, change of clothes, and a nap blanket or towel that will remain at school during the week and be taken home on Fridays.
Kindergarten students are asked to bring:
- Two 24-count boxes of crayons
- 24 pre-sharpened pencils
- One pack of glue sticks
- One primary writing notebook
- One pair of child safety scissors
- Two containers of Play-Doh
- One pair of over-the-head headphones
First grade students will need:
- One pencil or supply box
- Two 24-count boxes of crayons
- Child safety scissors
- Four glue sticks
- Two primary writing journals
- Over-the-head headphones
- Four black dry erase markers
Second grade students should bring:
- Four wide-ruled composition or spiral notebooks
- Two 24-count boxes of crayons
- Two packs of No. 2 pencils
- Over-the-head headphones
- Two packs of large pink erasers
- A pencil box or pouch
- Six glue sticks
- One pack of wide-ruled notebook paper
Third grade students are asked to provide:
- Two composition books (not spiral bound)
- Two folders without prongs
- One pack of notebook paper
- One pack of pencil-top erasers
- One or two boxes of colored pencils or crayons
Fourth grade students will need:
- Five composition notebooks
- Two packs of No. 2 pencils
- Over-the-head headphones
- Adult-size scissors
- Two packs of eight-count markers
- Two packs of glue sticks
- Two packs of black Expo markers
Fifth grade students should bring:
- Three composition notebooks
- One 1-inch three-ring binder
- Over-the-head headphones
- One pack of colored pencils, crayons and markers
- Three packs of Expo markers
- Three plastic folders with prongs and pockets in different colors
Students taking art classes are encouraged to bring washable markers, Sharpies, crayons, pencils, large pink erasers, and baby wipes or Clorox wipes.
The school is also accepting donations of classroom supplies for all grades. Items on the general classroom wish list include hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, tissues, dry erase markers, baby wipes, gallon or sandwich-size Ziploc bags, and colored paper.
School officials encourage families to begin shopping early and make plans to attend the Naomi Elementary Open House on Monday, Aug. 3, from 4 to 6 p.m., to help students get ready for the start of the 2026-27 school year.
