The Outpost will continue its speaker series later this month with a presentation from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources focused on the state of wildlife and natural resources in the region.
The “State of the Wild” presentation is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, at the MARS Theater. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with the presentation beginning at 6 p.m.
The program will take a closer look at regional wildlife management areas, local wildlife populations and ongoing efforts to manage and protect the area’s natural resources.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from Georgia DNR personnel involved in collecting wildlife data and managing regional wildlife and wildlands.
The event is free and open to all ages.
