A portion of N. Nickajack Road in Walker County will temporarily close Wednesday, Oct. 7, as crews complete road work in the area.
Walker County officials say the closure will take place on N. Nickajack Road near John Thompson Road.
Motorists who normally travel through the area will need to use an alternate route while the work is underway.
Drivers can detour to Chattanooga Valley Road by using Eagle Cliff Road.
Motorists are encouraged to allow additional travel time and use caution when traveling near the work zone.
The closure is expected to be temporary while crews complete the necessary road work.
