Queen City Lake has reopened for all recreational activities, including swimming in the beachfront area, after conditions at the lake returned to normal.
Officials announced the reopening following a period in which activities at the lake were restricted while conditions were monitored.
Community members were thanked for their patience during the temporary restrictions.
Officials also recognized the LaFayette High School Marine Biology Club for its continued assistance in monitoring conditions at Queen City Lake.
The club’s work plays an important role in the processes used to monitor the lake and provide updated information to the community when conditions change.
With the latest announcement, visitors can once again take part in all activities at Queen City Lake, including swimming at the beach.
