LaFayette High School has another runner headed to the next level of postseason competition, as senior Elijah Decker has qualified for the Region 7-3A Sectional Track Meet set for this Saturday at Jefferson High School.
Decker earned his spot as an alternate after another competitor withdrew, giving him the opportunity to compete in the 800-meter dash at the sectional meet.
He will be joined by a strong group of Rambler qualifiers also advancing to Jefferson, including Porter Sentell, Alex Dodson, Kevin Carmichael, Zaire Grissom, Jordan Ridley, Levi Collins, Jake Nave, Payton Cameron and Aaden McGuire.
The sectional meet will determine which athletes move on to the state competition, as the Ramblers look to build on a successful season on the track.
