City officials reported that the winds resulted in fallen trees and limbs across portions of Chickamauga, leading to disruptions in electrical service for numerous residents and businesses. Utility crews are actively assessing the damage and responding to affected areas.
Officials said crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power, though no estimate has been released on when all customers will have service restored. Damage assessments are ongoing as crews continue to identify impacted locations throughout the city.
