The Walker County Elections Office is alerting residents about voter registration mailers that have recently been arriving in mailboxes, emphasizing that the notices were not sent by local or state election officials.
According to the Elections Office, the mailers appear to have been distributed by a third-party organization known as Ready to Register Inc., and are not affiliated with either the Walker County Elections Office or the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office.
Election officials say voters who are already registered at their current address do not need to take any action if they receive one of the mailings. Instead, they may simply discard it.
The Elections Office is also encouraging residents to use caution before providing personal information to unfamiliar organizations or websites. Anyone with questions specifically about the mailing is advised to contact Ready to Register Inc. directly.
Officials say the most reliable way for Georgia voters to verify their registration status or update their information is through the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page.
The reminder comes ahead of the November 3, 2026 General Election. The deadline to register to vote for that election is October 5, 2026.
Walker County election officials say they are available to assist anyone with questions about voter registration or election-related matters and encourage residents to contact or visit the Elections Office if they need assistance.
