Walker County will be the first stop on a new constituent services tour across Georgia’s 14th Congressional District organized by U.S. Rep. Clay Fuller’s office.
The new “County Connections” initiative will bring members of Fuller’s staff directly into communities across the district to assist residents with federal agencies, casework and other constituent needs.
The rotation begins Friday, August 28, with staff available from 9 a.m. until noon at the Walker County Civic Center, located at 10052 N. Highway 27 in Rock Spring.
Under the program, a member of Fuller’s staff will visit one of seven counties each Friday on a rotating basis. The visits are focused on counties that are not currently served by a physical congressional field office.
Following the Walker County stop, the schedule includes:
- September 4 – Chattooga County: Hurley Community Development Center, 10050 Commerce Street in Summerville
- September 11 – Dade County: Trenton Historic Courthouse, Upper Room, 12345 Main Street in Trenton
- September 18 – Murray County: Murray County Chamber of Commerce, 126 N. Third Avenue in Chatsworth
- September 25 – Catoosa County: Colonnade Board Room, 264 Catoosa Circle in Ringgold
- October 2 – Polk County: Rockmart City Hall, 136 N. Piedmont Avenue in Rockmart
- October 9 – Cobb County: Acworth City Hall, 4415 Center Street in Acworth
According to Fuller’s office, local partners are providing office or meeting space during each visit. Constituents, business leaders and elected officials can also contact the congressman’s field offices to schedule meetings, plan events, begin casework or provide comments to Fuller’s team.
“We are here to serve the people of the 14th District, so we strongly encourage visitors to come by during these rotational visits,” the announcement stated.
The first County Connections event will take place Friday, August 28, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Walker County Civic Center in Rock Spring.
