Walker County officials released the following statement Thursday announcing that the polling location for the Rock Spring Precinct will be relocated later this year:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the voters of the Rock Spring Precinct that the Walker
County Board of Elections and Registration has voted to move the polling place from
Georgia Northwestern Technical College to the gymnasium at Center Grove Baptist
Church, located at 68 Center Grove Church Rd., Rock Spring, GA 30739.
The Board made this change because changes at GNTC affected the area
previously used for voting, making it inadequate for use as a polling place.
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-265(a), this notice will be published once a week for
two consecutive weeks in the legal organ. Additionally, on the first Election Day
following the change, a notice will be posted at the former polling place and at three
other locations in the immediate vicinity.
This change will be effective September 1, 2026. If you have any questions about
