As families prepare for the upcoming school year, Walker County Schools has identified the 10 school supplies most commonly requested by teachers across the district.
The list is based on classroom supply lists from schools throughout Walker County and highlights the items students are most likely to need before the first day of classes.
Topping the list are glue sticks, followed by #2 pencils and 24-count boxes of crayons. Headphones or earbuds rank fourth, reflecting the continued use of technology in classrooms, while kid-sized scissors round out the top five.
The remainder of the list includes composition notebooks, dry erase markers, colored pencils, pocket folders and disinfecting wipes.
