Walker County to Hold Patriot Day Service Marking 25th Anniversary of 9/11

Walker County will gather next month to remember the lives lost in the September 11 terrorist attacks and honor the first responders who continue to serve their communities.

The county will hold a Patriot Day service on Friday, September 11, marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The ceremony will begin at 8:40 a.m. in front of the Walker County Courthouse in LaFayette.

The service will recognize and remember first responders while providing an opportunity for the community to reflect on the events of 9/11 and the sacrifices made by firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency personnel and others.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony and join Walker County in honoring those who lost their lives and those who answered the call to serve.
