Four people were booked into the Walker County Detention Center on felony charges on Monday.  38 year old Joshua Clark Denton was arrested and charged with a probation violation.   

24 year old Madison Gayle Jordan and 27 year old Kerry Shane Marcotte were both charged with possession of a schedule four. 

31 year old Caitlyn Anne Gil faces charges of being a fugitive from justice. 

 

The UGA Extention Office in Walker County will hold rabies clinics at six local spots in April. The cost is 15-dollars.  Saturday, April 15th.  The clinics will be held at Gordon Lee High School, Rock Spring Elementary and Naomi Elementary.   

On April 22nd, Rabies shots will be offered at Gilbert Elementary, Chattanooga Valley Elementary and Rossville Elementary.   

 

Georgia lawmakers are telling cities and counties that they must enforce existing bans on public camping or sleeping by homeless people while saying local governments and hospitals can’t dump homeless people in other counties without permission. 

The House voted 99-76 to pass Senate Bill 62 on Monday. The Senate later approved House amendments adding the ban on dumping, sending it to Gov. Brian Kemp for his signature or veto.
