A flood watch is in effect for Walker County until 7pm Friday.  2-to-4 inches of rain is expected through Friday.  We’ll see several rounds of showers and storms today and tomorrow.  If you spot a flooded roadway, no not attempt to drive through it.  Keep it on Georgia 93-7 for the latest in weather conditions from Chief Meteorologist Patrick Core.

The Walker County Detention Center reported seven felony arrests on Tuesday.  49-year-old Tera Shea Hughes was booked on charges including possession of meth and drug related objects, open container violation and violation of probation.

Murray County authorities arrested two Chattanooga men on Monday for distributing fentanyl.

County narcotics investigators arrested 27-year-old David Pope and 30-year-old Jermichael Brooks.  Both men face several counts of distribution of fentanyl.  The sheriff’s office said the two were in possession of 767 fentanyl pills, 29 grams of fentanyl powder, more than $500 in cash and THC products.

LaFayette Basketball is back in action tomorrow.  The Ramblers travel to Bremen Friday night.  The varsity girls take to the floor at 6.  The boys play at 7:30.  Rambler basketball returns to WQCH next Tuesday night.
