A mass recall of over-the-counter drugs and medical devices was issued for products sold at Family Dollar Stores in 23 states, including Georgia and Alabama.  According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the items are being recalled after the variety store kept them outside of the labeled room temperature requirements then shipped the products around the country from June 1 to Sept. 21 where they continued to be sold until Oct. 4.  So far, there have been no consumer complaints or reports of illnesses related to the recall, the FDA says, and is only being done “out of an abundance of caution.”  From toothpaste to marijuana testing strips to Nyquil to foot powder — a number of items across the country could potentially be affected.  A full list of items being recalled can be found at FDA.gov/safety.
