A sting operation netted four arrests in Chattooga County. The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department along with several other local, state and federal agencies were involved in Operation Child-Proof. The sting operation began on Wednesday of last week. Four men aged 30 to 67 traveled from different areas believing they were going to meet with a child and engage in prearranged sex acts. Investigators had more than 15 exchanges with subjects on various social media or internet platforms. In some instances, the subjects introduced obscene or lude content, exposing the minor to pornography or requesting the child take nude or pornographic images for them.

If your driving through Fort Oglethorpe slow it down. The speed limit on LaFayette Road from Harker Road to Battlefield Parkway has been reduced from 40mph down to 35mph.
