A sting operation netted four arrests in Chattooga County.  The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department along with several other local, state and federal agencies were involved in Operation Child-Proof.  The sting operation began on Wednesday of last week.  Four men aged 30 to 67 traveled from different areas believing they were going to meet with a child and engage in prearranged sex acts.  Investigators had more than 15 exchanges with subjects on various social media or internet platforms.  In some instances, the subjects introduced obscene or lude content, exposing the minor to pornography or requesting the child take nude or pornographic images for them.
The LaFayette City Council will hold their regular meeting tomorrow night.  The meeting starts at 6:30 at City Hall on South Duke Street.  You can view the agenda at My City of LaFayette.org
If your driving through Fort Oglethorpe slow it down.  The speed limit on LaFayette Road from Harker Road to Battlefield Parkway has been reduced from 40mph down to 35mph.
It’s Thursday night lights for LaFayette football this week.  The Ramblers game at LFO has been moved from Friday and will now be on Thursday night.  You can hear the game on Georgia 93-7.  Pre game starts at 6:45.  The kickoff is set for 7pm.
