A wildfire continues to burn on Lookout Mountain.  The Georgia Forestry Commission says the blaze started Saturday.  The fire covers about 20-acres.  It’s located off Highway 157 and Tower Road.  Authorities say the blaze does not pose a threat to homes or businesses.
Walker County Government is hosting a town hall tonight on T-SPLOST.  The event starts at 7, you can watch it on the county Facebook page.  You can listen to it on Georgia 93-7.  Representatives of Chickamauga, LaFayette, Lookout Mountain and Rossville will join Walker County Chairman Shannon Whitfield.  The program will explain how T-SPLOST works, review previous and future T-SPLOST projects.  Voters will also have the chance to post questions related to T-SPLOST.
The Walker County Board of Commissioners will meet Thursday night of this week.  The meeting happens at 7 and Courthouse Annex III at 201 South Main Street in LaFayette.  You can watch the meeting on the county Facebook page.
Good luck to LaFayette High School Cross Country.  LaFayette will host the Region 6-AAA Cross Country meet tomorrow.  The action begins at noon.  LaFayette football will play at Coahulla Creek on Friday.
