The National Weather Service has issued a wildfire warning for northwest Georgia.  They say there is a high fire danger in the area because of low relative humidity.  To avoid starting a fire, properly dispose of cigarettes, don’t leave a fire unattended and be careful of dragging chains that could cause sparks along the road.  There have been several wild and brush fires in Dade and Walker Counties in the last few days.  Georgia Forestry now says 285 acres were burned in the wildfire on Lookout Mountain over the weekend.  That fire is now fully contained.

Three private schools top the list of the most expensive colleges in Georgia.  All are located in Atlanta.  Emory University costs $78,814 per year.  While Agnes Scott College is at $62,448.  Tuition at Oglethorpe University is $62,340.

A new USA Today survey shows that Georgia is among the best states for tipping.  On average Georgians tip 19%.  California is the best tipping state in the country.  There, the average tip is more than 22%.  Georgia and Florida are the only two southern states listed in the top 10.

The LaFayette Ramblers are back on the gridiron Friday night.  It’s game nine for the Ramblers as they head to Coahulla Creek to face the Colts.
