Seven felony arrests in Walker County on Tuesday.  Two were arrested for drug possession.  42-year-old Arthur Williams Thacker was charged with possession of meth.  38-year-old Cameron Muzuk was booked on charges of possession of a schedule II.
A new report from the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety highlights the importance of putting down your phone and focusing on the road.  The GOHS report showed 53% of all motor vehicle crashes in 2022 had at least one confirmed distracted driver.  Distracted driving spans across all age groups, but the reports showed drivers age 15 to 24 had the highest portion of being involved in distracted driving crashes and received more distracted driving citations after a crash than any other age group.
The remains of a murdered 33-year-old woman was discovered in Catoosa County yesterday.  The woman’s boyfriend, 29-year-old Demarcus Napier has confessed to the murder.  Police say Brooke Killings was last seen at Diamond Billard Club in Chattanooga on August 17th.  Cell phone records say Killings and Napier went to a home on Crestway Drive in Chattanooga.  Police found blood at the scene.  Napier was arrested yesterday and is being held in the Hamilton County Jail.  Police located Killings remains just off I-75 in Catoosa County yesterday.
