LaFayette is having problems with the “Amazing Christmas Light Show”. The lights are temporarily out of order. A part has been ordered to repair the problem. The lights are expected to be working again by tomorrow evening.
There will be nightly road work on I-24 in Hamilton County for the rest of the year. Tennessee Department of Transportation will be working on new bridges at South Moore Road and McBrien Road. The work starts tonight. TDOT is asking people to avoid traveling that section of I-24 between 9pm and 6am if possible. If you are heading north, be aware, construction crews will be using rolling roadblocks to stop traffic in 30-minute increments. There will be no lane closures during the holiday travel period beginning Friday December 22nd through Tuesday January 3rd.
Fedex is warning delivery drivers of a rise in truck and package robberies ahead of Christmas. According to the Wall Street Journal, Fedex has sent security warnings to their independent delivery contractors. The warnings include safety tips reminding drivers to lock doors and windows and stay alert of their surroundings.
LaFayette Boys and Girls basketball team both notched impressive wins over Breman last night. The Lady Ramblers won 64-44. The Boys team won, 66-48.
