Three people were booked into the Walker County Detention Center this weekend on DUI charges. An 18-year-old female was book on underage consumption of alcohol.

Ann Williard Fiddler has announced her candidacy for Superior Court Judge of the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit. The circuit includes Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade and Walker Counties. The seat is currently held by Judge Kristina Cook Graham. The election is set for May 21. Willard is currently practicing law in her hometown of Rossville.

It’s not even Spring yet and morning lows are still in the 30’s. Sounds like a good time to start thinking about warmer weather. The City of LaFayette has announced it’s 4th of July Celebration. The event will again be held at the Ross Abney Complex. Events will begin at 5pm. You will be able to find live music, vendors, kids games and a cornhole tournament. The fireworks will start at 10pm. Never too early to mark it on your calendar.
