On Saturday morning the Trion Police Department was notified of a picture of an unidentifiable person holding a rifle and a few captions that had been added to the photo. One of the captions said, “Who Next” and another caption was “Trion High School”. Police began conducting interviews. It was determined that the image was possibly pulled from the internet and the captions were later added by juveniles. The juveniles then shared or uploaded the image to a social media platform. Two juveniles have been charged with Terroristic Threats and Harassing Communications. Trion Police and School officials did a walk through and search of the school yesterday. Authorities said it was a precautionary measure before school resumed today. Law Enforcement and school officials say any communicated threats will be taken seriously. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has recalled more than 90,700 Ford vehicles for an engine issue that could result in an engine failure. The affected vehicles have Ford’s 2.7L or 3.0L Nano EcoBoost engine. On these motors, the intake valves could break and fail, which could be catastrophic to the engine. The engine failure could also lead to a crash. Affected vehicles are 2021-2022 Bronco, F-150, Edge, Explorer, Lincoln Nautilus, and Lincoln Aviator vehicles. The NHTSA says that dealers will perform an engine cycle test and replace the engine as necessary, free of charge.
