Road paving continues in Walker County.  Crews have started working this week on Childress Hollow Road.  Work will start soon on other nearby roads.  If you travel this area expect some delays over the next two weeks while repaving work happens.

Gas prices in Georgia are holding steady.  According to AAA the average price for a gall of regular unleaded in the state is $3.21.  Locally, Walker-Dade-Catoosa counties have the best gas prices in the state.  $2.73 per gallon on average for regular unleaded in the three county area.
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has signed a proclamation declaring this Saturday as National Hunting and Fishing Day in the state.  Saturday is also free fishing day, so you won’t have to have a fishing license to fish public waters in the state.
LaFayette High School girls flag football kicks off their season today.  The Lady Ramblers will host Heritage at 5 and 6:30.
