Funeral arrangements have been released for Walker County Firefighter Christopher Lewis. Lewis passed away last week after being involved in a motorcycle accident. The visitation is happening today from noon until 8pm at Wilson Funeral Home on West Cloud Springs Road in Ft. Oglethorpe. Visitation will also be held tomorrow from 10am to 1pm. The Celebration of Life will be held tomorrow at 4pm at the Walker County Civic Center in Rock Spring.
Walker County Schools are on Fall Break this week. Classes are back in session one week from today, Monday October 21st.
Gas prices in the state took another dip last week. According to Triple-A a gallon of regular unleaded in Georgia will cost an average of $2.70. Locally, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.64. Nationally the average price is $3.20.
