Walker County is holding a public meeting today. The meeting will be an update on the Chickamauga Battlefield Connector Trail. The project would like two existing walking paths connecting downtown Chickamauga with the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. The meeting happens at 5:30 at the Advancing Education Center on Osburn Road in Chickamauga.
Improved high speed internet is coming to Walker County. The Biden administration announced Friday grants for improving high speed internet networks in northwest Georgia. Plans are to build 185 miles worth of fiber route through 8 counties including Chattooga and Walker.
A Walker County restaurant had a perfect score on their health inspection. The Brew and Rhinestone Creamery on North Chattanooga Street in LaFayette had a perfect score of 100.
The Walker County Detention Center reports only two felony arrests on Sunday. 29-year-old Kelsie Lee Snider was charged with theft.
