The Walker County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help.  On Wednesday June 7th a Kubota Skidsteer SVL 75-2 was stolen from a residence on Hogan Road in Rossville.  Security cameras show the stolen equipment later being hauled down Rossville Blvd in Chattanooga.  If you have any information on the theft, call the Walker County Sheriff’s Department.

The Walker County Detention Center had 3 felony arrests on Wednesday.  Among those arrested, 42-year-old Tommy Wayne Painter was booked on charges of trafficking drugs.

The United States Geological Survey confirmed an earthquake struck in Whitfield County late Tuesday afternoon.  The quake struck at 4:11 p.m. at a depth of about 10 miles. The earthquake registered at a magnitude of 2.0, about 2 miles south of Varnell.  Officials updated the information just after 8:00 a.m.
