LaFayette Police are looking for a female who is accused of creating a fake passport.  The passport was then used to withdraw more than $8,000 in cash from a victim’s bank account.  There was a similar incident that happened in Whitfield County.  The suspects are traveling together through the area in a red Nissan Rogue.  It has New York license plate F Y F 8 3 3 0.  If you have any information, contact the LaFayette Police Department.
The Walker County Board of Commissioners have approved over $406,000 for an inclusive playground.  The playground will be built near the Civic Center Pavillon.  They playground will include a poured in place rubberized surface and ramps with barriers to make it accessible to children of all abilities.  Funding for the project comes from the voter approved SPLOST and the county’s Tourism Product Development Fund.  The ground breaking is scheduled for early September.
Fort Oglethorpe Police are searching for a man who forged a check after asking for donations at Food City.  The man was asking for donations for his college fund.  A woman wrote the man a check for $10.  According to police the check was cashed using a mobile app.  The suspect forged the check for $4,500 and wrote it out to another name.  The search for the suspect continues.
Walker County Schools will hold a job fair for bus drivers.  The event will happen Friday July 21st from 9am to 2pm at Saddle Ridge Elementary School.  No experience is needed.  You must have a valid driver’s license.  Health benefits are included with the job.
