WQCH and Georgia 93.7 Local News Headlines 7-28-2023

The Walker County Detention Center reported 9 felony arrests on Wednesday.  33-year-old Clint Matthew Wolford was booked on charges of possession of meth and possession of a schedule II and schedule IV.  30-year-old Caitlyn Lynn Dalinch was charged with possession of a schedule II.  Christopher James Collins was arrested on DUI charges and six counts of serious injury by vehicle.  39-year-old Richard Brent Clark was arrested on possession of schedule I.  42-year-old Jamie Howard Stoker faces several traffic related charges including DUI, fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving and other charges.

Today marks the first day of school in Chattooga County.  Most of the area gets the new school year underway next week.  Walker County Schools return to the classroom August 3rd.
