The Walker County Detention Center saw five felony bookings on Wednesday.  33-year-old Bryant Randall Marshall was charged with aggravated stalking.  54-year-old Allan Scott Williams faces possession of meth charges.  47-year-old April Michelle Best was booked on driving without insurance and possession of a schedule II.
A new study has found that 45% of all tap water contains forever chemicals.  The US Geological survey looked at 716 locations across the country.  269 private wells and 447 public sources of water.  The highest concentration of chemicals was found in urban areas or areas where the chemicals are made.
18 people died in traffic accidents in Georgia during the 4th of July holiday.  Additionally, there were more than 500 crashes resulting in more than 260 injuries.  The July 4th holiday stretched from Friday of last week until the 4th on Tuesday of this week.
RaceTrac, the Atlanta based convenience store chain, has announced it has acquired Gulf Oil.  RaceTrac is the 2nd largest privately held company in Georgia.  Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.  The sale is expected to be completed within 60 to 90 days.
