A 34-year-old Chattanooga woman has turned herself in to Walker County authorities.  Ashley Elizabeth Harris had warrants out for 3 counts of felony aggravated cruelty to animals and two counts of cruelty to animals.  The charges stem from an incident in Rossville back in January.  Harris and her husband Curtis Lamar Harris moved from Rossville and abandoned several pigs.  Rossville Police Department and Walker County Animal Control found three deceased pigs lying in the yard.  The animals had either starved or froze to death.  Two other pigs were found in poor health.  

According to Triple-A Georgia Gas prices dropped last week.  The state average is down 2-cents from last week.  The current average across the state is $3.37 per gallon for regular unleaded.  Catoosa-Dade-and-Walker Counties are among the cheapest gas in the state at $3.30 a gallon.

 The Murray County school system says there were no serious injuries in a school buas crash yesterday morning.  They are not giving many details on how it happened other than it was a single vehicle wreck.  The school system reports that three students were treated for minor cuts and scrapes.

The local restaurant report is out.  LaFayette Nutrition scored a perfect 100 along with Macs Kitchen and Bar in Rossville, Walker County Nutrition Center in LaFayette and Candlelight Forest in Chickamauga.  Chinese #1 in LaFayette and Food Express in Rock Spring both scored a 92
