The Walker County Detention Center reported five felony arrests on Monday.  Among those booked includes, 31 year old Justin Robert Whitley.  Whitley is charged with possession of meth.  31-year-old Breanna Lynn Jarrell was booked on possession of a schedule two, driving on a suspended license and no insurance.  41 year old Patricia Denise Johnson faces charges of violating probation, possession of meth, possession of marijuana and possession of drug related objects.  The complete booking report can be found online at Discover Walker.com
Georgia’s 2024 presidential primary is set for March 12th.  The date was set by Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.  The March 12th voting day in Georgia is one weeks after Super Tuesday on March 5th.
Georgia’s tax revenue fell in April.  According to the numbers released yesterday by Govenor Brian Kemp, the state has collected 27.8 billion in the general fund revenue through April.  That number is 1% more than last year.  Even with revenue growth slowing the state is expected to finish the 2023 budget year in June with a surplus.
Country music star Morgan Wallen was scheduled to perform at Atlanta’s Truist Park on June 2nd.  Wallen took to social media yesterday to announce he is taking six weeks of vocal rest.  Wallen says without the rest he could permanently damage his voice.  A new date for the Atlanta concert has yet to be announced.
