The Walker County Detention Center reported four felony arrests on Sunday.  33-year-old Corey Brian Asher was booked on charges of possession of schedule 1 and willful obstruction.  39-year-old Jessica Dean Camp was charged with two counts of willful obstruction, interference with government property and simple battery against an officer.  32-year-old James Anthony Keener faces charges of aggravated assault.  41-year-old Larry Doss Femister was booked on probation violation charges along with willful obstruction and disorderly conduct.  Complete arrest report is online at Discover Walker.com

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is relaunching it’s Practical Nursing program on the Walker County campus.  GNTC had closed the program at the Rock Spring location due to a lack of staff.  GNTC will relaunch the Practical Nursing program beginning with the fall 2023 semester.

Catoosa-Dade and Walker Counties continue to have some of the cheapest gas in Georgia.  According to Triple-A, the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $3.15.  That’s the cheapest in the state.  Columbus is $3.16 and a gallon of gas in Dalton is $3,17.

The annual US-11 Antique Alley and Yard Sale is set for this week.  The 502 mile long yard sale started in 1997.  The route runs five states.  It starts in Meridian Mississippi to Birmingham Alabama, through Dade County and stretching into Chattanooga and later Knoxville before it finally ends in Bristol Virginia
