A commercial fire last night on Mize Street in Lafayette caused damage to businesses.  Fire crews responded to the fire around 10pm last night.  The strip center where the fire occurred is home to Goodwill and Attic Treasures among others.  The cause of the fire and the extent of the damages was unclear this morning.   

 

The Georgia Legislature is trying to wrap up their most recent session.  We’ll have a complete recap coming up on Friday when State Representative Mike Cameron joins us in the noon hour for our Friday conversation. 

 

The Walker County Detention Center reported three felony arrest on Tuesday.  53 year old Alive Moroe Horton was charged with Violation of probation. 

31 year old Darryl Wayne McBryar faces charges of theft and violation probation. 

26 year old Jessie William White was arrested and charged with credit card theft and fraud. 

 

 

Lafayette High School Baseball is back in action today at 5:30  The Ramblers will take on Adairsville at home. 

The Girls golf team faces Dalton today the Lafayette Golf Club.  Tee time is at 4pm.
