Angela “Angie” Gay Wallin Gunnells, age 61, of LaFayette, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
A talented cosmetologist, Angie was the owner and operator of Heavenly Creations from 1996 to 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Louise Wallin; and siblings, Sue Wallin, Donald Wallin, Tony Wallin, Tommy Wallin, Charles Wallin, Mable Wallin, and Archie “Junie” Wallin.
Angie is survived by her daughter, Brandy (Josh) Barfield; son, Christopher (Jennifer) Gunnells; grandchildren, Haley (Logan) Parris, Houston (Felicia) Lumpkin, Macy Lumpkin, Brayden Gunnells, Aiden Davoll, and John Davoll; great-grandchildren, Harper Parris and Londyn Parris; siblings, Billy Wallin, Barbara Watkins, Stevie Wallin, Wanda Catlett, Cindy Dennison, James Wallin, and Michael Wallin; several nieces and nephews; and ex-husband, Glenn Gunnells.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 5, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with grandson Houston Lumpkin and Pastor Tim Dennison officiating.
Interment will take place at LaFayette City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Stephens, Roger Pevehouse, Chad Rackley, Brandon Brown, and Jason Stephens.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 4, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
