Barbara Ann Powell, age 69, resident of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at her residence.
Barbara, daughter of the late Charles Robert Scheivelhud and Otis Mae Kindsey Scheivelhud, was born October 28, 1955 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She had worked faithfully at BJB Electric, Ringgold, Georgia for many years until she retired. Barbara spending quality time with her dogs and cats and watching television at home. She did visit places, but most people knew her as a “home body.” The family remembers her as a happy lady who never met a stranger.
She is survived by her long time partner, Larry Haynes; brother, Wallace Scheivelhud; an aunt, Betty Stephenson; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
Memorial services will be held at Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, 443 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 3 pm with Reverend Ronnie Shadwick officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 2-7 p.m. and also on Monday, December 2. 2024 from 12- 3 pm.
