Barbara Clark, age 84, resident of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at her residence.
Mrs. Clark, daughter of the late William M Ridley and Nancy Cordelia Hensley Ridley, was born December 6, 1939 in Chatsworth, Georgia. She was a member of Keith Baptist Church and retired from Ridgewood Manor in Dalton, Georgia where she faithfully served as the Dietician. Mrs. Clark was an avid shopper; loved to tend to her flower garden; and enjoyed trips to the mountains. She listened to Southern Gospel music, but mostly enjoyed quality time watching her kids sporting events and cooking for the family.
The family remembers her as a lady who immensely loved her family – a true loving mother and grandmother.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Byrd Clark, Jr. and a sister, Mattie Sisson.
Mrs. Clark is survived by five children, William Gregory (Patti) Clark of Monroe, Louisiana, Garry Byrd (Kim) Clark of Acworth, Georgia, Robert “Bobby” Clark of Ringgold, Georgia, Tammi Clark of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, and Kristy (Ethan) Van Eck of Parkland, Florida; thirteen grandchildren, Chase, Chance, Courtney, Mandi, Moriah, Mia, Grayson, Gunner, Lindsay, Will, Delaney, Joni, and Wyatt; 11 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled at Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, 443 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia on Monday, October 7, 2024, 10 a.m. with Reverend Rick Clark officiating. Private interment will be a Gordy Memorial at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 2-4 p.m.
