Barbara Jean Elliott Massengale, 82 of Ringgold, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. She resided most of her life in the North Georgia and Chattanooga area and was of the Baptist faith. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and gardening. Barbara was often found mowing the neighbor’s yard….whether they wanted her to or not. Her most cherished time was spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren that she adored.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Massengale; parents, Thomas J. Elliot and Lizzie Blair; brothers, Ralph Elliott and Jimmy Elliott.
Survivors include her children, Wally (Candi) Smith and Lisa Smith; four sisters, two brothers, grandchildren, Derek, Candace, Tabitha, Michael, Kaleb, Cory, Austin, and Steven; nineteen great grandchildren, close friends, Alice and Diane; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Per Barbara’s request, her body is being donated to science and there will be no services held.
