Betty Dunn, age 77, resident of Rock Spring, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Hospice Care Center, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Mrs. Dunn, daughter of the late Harry Hill and Sarah Seabolt Hill, was born July 4, 1947 in Ringgold, Georgia. She was a member of Rock Spring Baptist Church and retired from Hutchison Hospital where she faithfully worked as a Dietician for 30 years. Mrs. Dunn enjoyed working word puzzles with her husband and listening to Christian music. She also enjoyed spending time on her deck, but most of all she looked forward to spending quality time with her grandchildren.
The family remembers her as a loving, caring, and Godly lady – “MaMaw” to everyone.
Mrs. Dunn is survived by her husband of 60 years, David Dunn; six children, Betty (Steve) Willson, David (Angie) Dunn, Sarah (John) Parrish, Frankie (Cristal) Dunn, Jamie (Tara) Dunn, and Cindy (Rusty) Haney; grandchildren, Tasha Brown, Jesica (Anthony) Mitchell, Amanda and Tiffany Dunn, Ashley (Charlie) Asher, Ashley (Michael) Toney, Rachel Duckett and Hannah Parrish, Jeff (Amber) Dunn, Heather Ragsdale, Amber (Tyler) Whittenburg, Zach (Jessica) Dunn, Jake Dunn, Jennifer (Brandon) Vanco, Matt (Mikaela) Bowers, Kati (Clayton) Carlton; great-grandchildren, Riley, Evan, Braden, Easton, Emma, Bella, Raigan, Chloie, Kaylyn, Remington, Abby, Skylar, Chapel, Ivy Kate, Iris, Houston, Xander, Naomi, Maddi, Zowie, Brenden, Lexi, Mason, Tinsley, Weston, Koleson, Cameron; great-great grandchildren, Ava and Paisley; two sisters, Gayle (Garlin) Payne and Vickie Elliott; two brothers, Tommy (Theresa) Hill and James Hill; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, 1 p.m. with Reverend Shane Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood South Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 12 noon till 8 p.m.
