Betty Elizabeth Holbrook, age 84, of LaFayette, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
She was a member of Mount Cavalry Baptist Church. A graduate of LaFayette High School, Betty was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny Greene, Jerry Greene, and Ed Greene; and sister, Mary Ellen Dearing.
Betty is survived by her sons, Anthony “A.J.” (Wendy) Holbrook and Jay (Angie) Church; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jimmy) Watts, Josh Church, Jonah Church, and Austin Holbrook; great-grandchildren, Nerissa Church, Tobee (Haley) Hurst, Eddie, and Noah; great-great-grandchildren, Jay, Ezra, Phoenix, and Landon; and family friend, Sara Ridley and her daughter, Alyssah.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 21, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel.
Interment will take place at LaFayette City Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 pm to the hour of service at the funeral home.
