Betty Lou Reese-Wilfong, age 75, passed away in peace on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Born December 5, 1950 in Belgrade, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, William “Bill” Reese and Zelma Miller Reese, her brothers Delbert and Ed Reese, and her sister Elaine McWilliams.
Betty worked at Ringgold Middle School in the cafeteria and later as the cafeteria manager, where she was loved by the staff and children.
Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a fantastic cook who loved to sew and quilt. She made people smile and laugh wherever she went.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years (5/24/1985), Mark Wilfong, whom she loved very much. They enjoyed going camping or just sitting on the back porch playing cards and crossword puzzles.
She is also survived by her children, Dianna McKinney (husband Wesley), Genise Wattler, and William Wilfong (wife Tabitha). She is additionally survived by grandchildren, Shannon, Nicholas, Diamond, and Ben. Her sister Phyllis Ann Hulsey survived along with beloved relatives John & Elaine Wood, Carol Manning, and Denny Wilfong.
A celebration of life will be planned for later in the summer. The family requests donations to the Shriners at www.donate.shrinerschildrens.org in lieu of flowers.
