Betty Marie Bell Mitchell age 77, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away Monday – November 18, 2024. She was born in Chickamauga, Georgia to the late Eugene and Betty Sue Plaster Bell. Marie had resided most of her life in the Chickamauga, LaFayette and Fort Oglethorpe areas. She had various jobs, the ones she enjoyed the most was being the manager of the Kansas City Zoo and being a truck driver and trainer for Covenant Transport Company in Chattanooga, TN. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, traveling and loving on her animals. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law: Pamela Mitchell. She is survived by her sons: Jeff (Tammie Harden) Mitchell of LaFayette, GA, Mark A. Mitchell of Ringgold, GA, sister: Jeanie (Glenn) Roberts of Palm Coast, FL, six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday an hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am – Thursday – November 21, 2024 in the chapel with Pastor Arthur Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Woodstation Cemetery.
