Breanda Mae Richter

Breanda Mae Richter, age 77, passed away peacefully in her home on March 4th, 2026.
She is the daughter of the late William Burrell Powell and Willie Mae Austin Powell. Breanda worked in the hospital industry for 42 years, working at both Hutcheson and Memorial Hospital. While outside her home, she enjoyed sitting on the porch smoking her cigarettes, drinking coffee, and watching the birds. She also enjoyed taking trips to the beaches in Florida where she enjoyed people watching. Many family members would also be with her at Ryan’s, where she would enjoy the yeast rolls- and even take some home. She also had a tendency to be thrifty and stay at Holiday Inn and possibly sneak some towels and ashtrays out. While at home, she enjoyed playing cards with family and friends; watching Tennessee Volunteer football, NFL Football (Kansas City Chiefs), NBA Basketball (Golden State Warriors); listening to country music particularly Lainey Wilson and Toby Keith. But most of all, she looked forward to spending time with her family, particularly grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Roger Richter Sr.; her daughter Jania Lea Roberson; and her brother Burrell Delane Powell.

Left to cherish her precious memory is her daughter Lori Ann Roberson; her son Lee Eric Roberson; her grandchildren Taylor, Maggie, Krista, and Brittany; and 7 beautiful great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memory Gardens South on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Elks Lodge 91, Chattanooga, TN.
