Brenda Charlene Spears Armstrong, age 79, of Piedmont, Alabama, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. Spears and Lela Lankford Spears; brothers, Maurice Spears and Billy Ray Spears; and sisters, Laverne Parker and Delories Collins.
Brenda is survived by her sons, Darrell (April) Armstrong of Centre, Ala., and Jason (Joy) Armstrong of Chickamauga, Ga.; eight grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Chris Spears officiating.
Interment will take place at the LaFayette City Cemetery.
Pallbearers are John Benson, Austin Coker, Tyler Edwards, Brandon Armstrong, Ace Bailey, and Zach Armstrong.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to the hour of service at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
