Carl David Jones, age 61, of LaFayette, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
He was a member of Trinity Tabernacle.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ada Eva and William Carl Jones; brothers, Henry, Tommy, Woody, and Marvin; sister, Margaret Jones; father and mother-in-law, Garles and Shirley Smothers; brothers-in-law, Tony and Randy Smothers, Mike Jackson, and Stacy Upshaw; and sister-in-law, Sheila Smothers.
Carl is survived by his loving wife, Dar Jones; daughter, Evie (Amanda) Jones; grandchildren, Jayden Jones, Haylee, Makayla, Evan Pendergraft, Jeremiah Love, and Samuel Ryon; brothers, Gary Jones, Danny (Kathy) Jones, Ricky (Vicky) Jones, Frankie (Sandy) Jones all of LaFayette, and Cecil Jones of Ringgold; sisters, Alice Bradley of Chatsworth and Audrey (Eddy) Gann of LaFayette; sisters-in-law, Char Jackson, Sharon Upshaw, and Tammy Smothers; brother-in-law, Lamar Smothers; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 17, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastors Tim Rayburn and Mike Cleghorn officiating.
Interment will take place at LaFayette City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Bradley, Eric Jones, Tim Jackson, Anthony Jackson, Billy Saine, Nathan Jones, and Dakota Smothers.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16, at the funeral home.
