January 27, 1948 - May 3, 2026
Charlotte “Nannie” Holland, age 78. Resident of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at her residence.
Mrs. Holland, daughter of the late Eddie Monroe Starling and Lola Jay Carden Starling, was born January 27, 1948 in Gadsden, Alabama. She was Church of God by faith and helped run the family business (Starling Transport/Ben Holland Trucking) for several years. Mrs. Holland enjoyed taking trips to the beach; joining in on activities at The Villages II in Chickamauga with fellow seniors; and playing the organ for several years at Noble Church of God. While at home, many would find her sitting on her front porch reading a book; doing puzzles; watching television; or listening to Southern Gospel music. She would also prepare dinners for family and friends (known for her fried chicken). Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior and always looked forward to spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. The family remembers her as a kind God-fearing woman who loved her family immensely, and also as an amazing organist.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie “Pop” Holland and a son, Eddie DeWayne Holland.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim(Eric) Moore and Kristy (Stuart) Davis; one son, Jeremy (Christine) Holland; two sisters, Sheila (Tommy) McLaughlin and Sharon Kirkland; eight grandchildren, Kalyb (Ansley), Nicholas (Kayla), Brody, Holden, Micah, Trip, Levi, and Reed; five great-grandchildren, Colt, Noah, Rylee, Zane, and Gnarly; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services are scheduled at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, 724 Hogan Road, Rossville, Georgia on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 5-8 p.m.
