Charlotte Pauline “Polly” Whaley, age 87, of Rock Spring passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Rossville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “W.A.” Whaley; parents, Hettie and William Swafford; sisters, Arvie Simmons, Idella Ramey, and Violet Swafford; brothers, Wheeler Hinch, Ebb Hinch, Amos Swafford, Doyle Swafford, and Sam Swafford.
Polly is survived by her daughter, Angie (Dale) Key; sons, Tim Whaley and Lebron (Ann) Whaley; grandchildren, Josh Whaley, Jessica Tallent, Melissa Blankenship, Kevin Key, and Samantha Strickland; great grandchildren, Kevin, Jacob, Maddie, Aydin, Annika, Ryan, Maci, Maddox, and Ian; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 6, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Dr. Ernest Groce officiating.
Interment will take place at Rock Spring Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 12 p.m. to the hour of service at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
