November 7, 1961 - June 5, 2026
Connie Melissa Norris, 64, of Flintstone, Georgia passed peacefully from this life on June 5, 2026. Although her last years were a battle against Parkinson’s disease, we will choose to celebrate the years in which she was able to live vivaciously, to pursue her desires, and to enjoy the beautiful world around her with family and friends. Above all else in this world, she loved her children and being Nonnie to her grandchildren.
Connie was born in 1961 to the late William and Avis Norris in Gainesville, Georgia. After high school and college, she eventually married Rhett Ouzts in 1986 and had two children that were her pride and joy. Connie spent many of her working years with Burner Systems International. She supported her family in every way she could.
Mom loved making crafts and attending fairs, hitting the water in her kayak with Melissa and the boys, swinging in the hammock, movies in the hot tub, beach trips with toes in the sand, and rafting the Ocoee. She never missed an opportunity to do something fun when she could.
Connie’s love will continue to be felt by her daughter, Melissa Richardson; son, Justin (Chandler) Ouzts; Rhett Ouzts; grandchildren, Alex, Connor, Zoe, and Reese; brothers and sisters Tony (Nancy) Norris, Carol (Larry) Crewey, Billy Norris, Todd (Elizabeth) Norris; and numerous other friends and family members that she loved to see and spend time with.
Visitation will be held from 2-5PM on June 10, 2026 with a memorial service to follow at 5PM in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Home (Fort Oglethorpe, GA) with Pastor Derrell O’Neal officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Arrangements by W.L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home-Fort Oglethorpe.
