David Elkin Paden, Jr., age 54, of LaFayette passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
David served as the minister for the LaFayette Church of Christ for the past 10 years. He enjoyed preaching, studying the Bible, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. He truly had a love for teaching the gospel to others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elkin and Linda Paden.
David is survived by his wife, Kelly Hughes Paden; daughters, Olivia (Joey) Durham, Madison Paden, and Rylie Paden; son, Andrew Paden; sisters, Melinda (Jim) Allen, Sandy (Sid) Russell, and Sherri (Randall) Webb; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Chad (Katie) Hughes; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kelby and Kay Hughes.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 13, at LaFayette Church of Christ with Minister Chad Ramsey and Minister Reid Perry officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00 pm until the hour of service at the church.
