Dolores D. Tant, 82, of Rossville, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 16, 2026. She was born on November 20, 1943, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, to the late Ross and Doris Dyson.
Dolores grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, where she graduated from Messick High School and attended Draughon’s Business College. She retired from Murphy Oil Corporation and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe.
Dolores enjoyed flower gardening, caring for her cats, and spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece, Emily Weber.
Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Charles Tant; son, Scott (Wella) Tant; sister, Claudia Clark; grandsons, Dakota and Kaile; granddaughters, Ysabella, Abbygail, and Gabriella; nephew, Bobby, niece, Alena; along with many other extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Dolores’ Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 22, 2026, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Brother Ronnie Born officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
