Donald “Dan” Andrew DuVall, age 90, of LaFayette, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. Dan married the love of his life, Sara Humphreys DuVall in 1956 at the local Methodist Church in Rossville. In 1967, they moved to Naples, Florida, where they raised their family until moving to Kentucky in 1991 where he worked for the Kentucky State Police as a fingerprint examiner. In 1995, they returned home and reestablished roots in Northwest Georgia.
Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Dannette Stier; parents, Andrew Lee DuVall, and Addie Roberson DuVall; siblings Helen Peacock, Pauline Hurd, Clara Romer, Dorothy Smith, Edith Cook, Kat Capers, Annie Ridge, Sarah Stewart, John DuVall, Thomas DuVall, and Brenda Campbell.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet (Ray) Rhode of Naples, Florida, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sister, Jenny Davis, and many nieces and nephews.
A Masonic service will be held at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 2 PM, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 12:30 PM. A private graveside service will follow at Pettyjohn cemetery in Trion with Pastor Jason McCarty officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Masonic Western Lodge #91 at 201 Duke Street, LaFayette, GA 30728.
