Donald Leon Dixon, age 87, of LaFayette passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Daisy Dixon; sisters, Geneva Hughes and Melvina Kelly; brother, Johnny Dixon; and son-in-law, Jeffery Mark Abbott.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Priscilla Ann Dixon; daughters, Teresa Abbott and Tyra (Vince) Stalling; son, Terry Dixon; grandchildren, Johnathan (Kristy Snyder) Abbott, Nathaniel (Amanda) Abbott, Savannah Abbott (Terry) Hamby, Shanica (Mike) Lewis, Blakely (Nathan) Brown, Brooklyn Smith, T.J. (Kayla Ridley) Dixon, and Ashton Stalling; great-grandchildren, Skylar Abbott, Jaden (Alyson) Abbott, Nathaniel (Kierston Beavers) Abbott, Gabriel Abbott, Mikaela (Matt) Bowers, Makinley (Jase) Alexander, Leighton Brown, Ava Brown, Kailynn Smith, Brailynn Smith, Elijah Smith, Chandler Smith, Ada Dixon, Kash Ridley, and Kayne Ridley; great-great-grandchildren, Tinsley and Weston Bowers; sister, Joan Roden; and brothers, Glen Dixon and Kenneth Dixon.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 20, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Peterson officiating.
Interment will take place at LaFayette City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 19, at the funeral home.
